As consistent as I try to be, some of the things that I would probably consider biggies slip past me. It's just too difficult to stay on top of everything when there are so many things going on. But I like to think (or hope) that the most important messages I want my family to absorb do filter through and last, even when there are inconsistencies in how the children act or how I deal with things.
